In connection with President Joko Widodo's state address, Friday, August 16, 2019 at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta with a plan to move the capital to a new place, we hereby, from the Warteg Community (Warung Tegal) Nusantara, abbreviated as KOWANTARA, express our opinions:
Reject the plan to move the capital to a new place with the reason:
Moving the capital requires a large budget, while the country's economic situation is not yet stable with conditions:
1. The purchasing power of Indonesian people is increasingly falling
2. Rising prices of basic commodities or groceries
3. In come small businesses are declining, especially small food stalls such as warteg (Tegal stalls) and others with the lack of buyers because the people's purchasing power is increasingly difficult
4. Difficult employment opportunities as a result of many companies closing and resulting in greater unemployment and of course wider poverty.
5. State debt is getting bigger
As well as the government's obligation to focus on overcoming the economy to be made a top priority such as: Declining purchasing power of people, high prices of basic commodities, greater unemployment, high poverty, and increasing national debt, these economic problems must immediately overcome and become the government's top priority in the welfare of its people rather than discouraging the relocation of the capital which actually adds new problems later
Thus our statement as the warteg community (warung Tegal) Nusantara abbreviated as KOWANTARA, and hopes that other communities also reject the plan to move the capital to a new place.

Caption : 5 Warteg Menus in GIF
Warteg as a small restaurant that is mushrooming in Jakarta and its surroundings, has been known as folk food, warteg provides special food that is very appetizing, especially for all food lovers. The menu available at small food stalls is not inferior to the taste in quality food and sold at high prices. Varied food on the warteg uses spices that have been seasoned well, making them addicted and wanting to add more.
This food will not be boring for culinary lovers, because it is a favorite and a recommendation in food selection. Some foods may not suit everyone's mouth, but sometimes food in small food stalls can be accepted by everyone because the right ingredients are combined with rice as the main carbohydrate. Some of these foods are served on the warteg and are a favorite for many people, and maybe you are one of them. Come on, here are 5 special warteg menus that need to be tasted at warteg-warteg in Jakarta

1. Orek Tempe/Fermented soybean in blocks ( lightly cook)

This one food is an important food and definitely always in every warteg that you visit, anyway.  Yup, what's more if it's not the orek tempe.  Usually, this one food is available there is a wet one and some are dry.  This one menu must be available and become a subscription for food tasters at the warteg.  Usually, in a day this food menu can run out even before night.

2. Telur Dadar/Omelette or fry a mixture spread of eggs in a pan

In addition to orek tempe, another popular menu is omelet.  This menu is very good if it is served together with orek tempeh which is everyone's favorite menu.  The use of chives and chili is also a great addition to this egg flavor, so it does not taste bland for the tongue.  Served with gravy will arouse appetite.  This menu is also often used as a savior at an old date, because with a serving of warm rice and a piece of omelet will also make the stomach feel full for a long time.  Have you ever experienced it?

3. Tempe Goreng Tepung/Fried fermented soybean in blocks  with flour

Tempe fried flour is made with a mixture of flour dough and tempeh which is cut into several parts.  If served with warm tea, it will be suitable especially during the rainy season so it takes light meals accompanied by warm drinks that make the body not feel cold.  In addition this food will be more varied if served together with orek tempeh.  But the ingredients are both from tempeh, so it depends on each taste.

4. Sambal Goreng Kentang Ati Ampela/Potato, Chicken Liver and Gizzard in Spicy Coconut Milk

Sambal goreng potato is made from potatoes and uses chili sauce.  Complementary ingredients for chicken and petai can also be added to add to the taste of food.  Spicy taste in food is highly recommended with omelet so it is more varied.  This food is served in quite a large portion and will make the stomach full.

5. Tumis Kangkung/Stir-fries kale

Kangkung/kale is very good for health.  This vegetable can be served with other side dishes such as orek tempeh.  This food is cooked together with chili and some herbs and gravy that can be mixed with rice and side dishes.  This food is a favorite food after many orek tempeh purchased.  Not infrequently there are those who eat it together with rice alone.  If it is served with crackers, it will taste good and not reduce taste.

Islamic boarding schools are traditional Islamic education in Indonesia, where students live together and study under the guidance of a teacher who is known as a kiai and has a dormitory to be inhabited by Santri students in a complex that also provides mosques for worship, study rooms and more. religious activities. In addition, the word pondok may be from Funduq Arabic which means a hostel or hotel. On Java, including Sunda and Madura, the term dormitory and boarding school are generally used, while in Aceh it is known as dayah or rangkang or menuasa, while in Minangkabau it is called surau. Sidogiri village was cleared by a Sayyid from Cirebon, West Java named Sayyid Sulaiman. He is a descendant of the Prophet from the clan Basyaiban. His father, Sayyid Abdurrahman bin Muhammad bin 'Umar Basyaiban al' Alawi who came from Qosam Hadhramaut, was a migrant from the country of guardians, Tarim, Hadramaut, Yemen. While his mother, Syarifah Khodijah, is the daughter of the Sultan of Cirebon Descendants of Sunan Gunung Jati. Thus, from the maternal line, Sayyid Sulaiman is a relative of the descendants of Sunan Gunung Jati.

Sayyid Sulaiman opened and established a boarding school in Sidogiri assisted by Kiai Aminullah. Kiai Aminullah is a santri and son-in-law of Sayyid Sulaiman from Bawean Island. It is said that the demolition of Sidogiri was carried out for 40 days. At that time Sidogiri was still a wilderness that was untouched by humans and inhabited by many spirits. The jungle of the Sidogiri wilderness was chosen to be opened and made a boarding school because it was believed that the land was good and diverse.

There are two versions of the year of the establishment of the Sidogiri Islamic Boarding School, namely 1718 or 1745. In a note written by Panca Warga 1963 it was stated that the Pondok Pesantren Sidogiri was established in 1718. The note was signed by Almaghfurlahum KH. Noerhasan Nawawie, KH. Cholil Nawawie, and K. A. Sa'doellah Nawawie on October 29, 1963.

Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor Ponorogo (PMDG) or better known as Pondok Modern Gontor is one of the Islamic boarding schools located in Ponorogo Regency, East Java. This pesantren is famous for the application of discipline, mastery of foreign languages (Arabic and English), regeneration and a very strong alumni network. Since its founding in 1926, Gontor is an educational institution that is not bound by any political organization and social organization

Its history, the AL-AMIEN PRENDUAN boarding school cannot be separated from the history of the development of Islam in Prenduan itself. Because Kiai Chotib (the grandfather of the present caregivers) who started the business of building an Islamic education institution in Prenduan, was also a Kiai developing Islam in Prenduan. The effort to build the bull was actually a continuation of his sister-in-law's business, Kiai Syarqowi, who moved to Guluk-guluk after about 14 years of fostering the Prenduan community in order to fulfill the mandate of his friend, Kiai Gemma who died in Mecca.
Before leaving Prenduan to move to Guluk-guluk, Kiai Syarqowi asked Kiai Chotib to replace him guiding the Prenduan community, after previously marrying him to one of Prenduan's original daughters named Aisyah, or better known later with Nyai Robbani. Kiai Chotib gladly accepted the mandate.
A few years later, around the beginning of the 20th century, Kiai Chotib began pioneering the pesantren by establishing a small Langgar known as Congkop. Congkop Islamic Boarding School, that's how the community knows about this educational institution, because the building that was first established in the pesantren is a Congkop-shaped building (a Joglo-like square building). The building stands on arid and narrow arid land surrounded by burial grounds and shrubs, approximately 200 meters from the langgar founded by Kiai Syarqowi

Jokowi Warteg Prabowo Nasi Goreng

 Kamis, 03 Juli 2014, 09:33
The Jakarta Post, Jakarta | Pemilu Watch |
